Every ingredient has a part to play. Oils and butters provide emollience — the soft, smooth feeling on skin — while waxes give a balm its shape and body. Fragrance and flavour add a separate sensory choice.
The benefits below describe cosmetic and formulation roles. The feel of each finished balm comes from the complete blend. See the product lists for exactly what is in your chosen balm.

Each list belongs to the product named. Original options are fragrance-free; Everywhere Balm Vanilla contains vanilla fragrance, and the flavoured Lip Balms include their corresponding lip balm flavour oil.

Oils for a softer, smoother feel.
Meadowfoam seed oil
Smooth glide. An emollient oil that helps soften skin and gives the balm an easy, smooth glide.
Found in: Everywhere Balm and Lip Balm.
Jojoba oil
Softness and slip. A liquid wax used as an emollient. It helps condition skin and adds slip as the balm spreads.
Found in: Everywhere Balm and Lip Balm.
Camellia seed oil
Supple-feeling skin. An emollient botanical oil that helps soften and smooth dry-feeling skin, contributing to the balm’s comfortable finish.
Found in: Everywhere Balm and Lip Balm.
Sunflower oil
Paw-pad conditioning. An emollient oil that contributes softness and spreadability to our paw-conditioning formula. Sunflower oil and sunflower wax play different roles.
Found in: Paw Balm.
Coconut oil
Rich conditioning. Adds emollience and body to the Paw Balm, helping leave intact paw pads feeling conditioned.

Butters for richness and comfort.
Shea butter
Cushioned softness. A rich emollient butter that helps soften dry-feeling skin and gives the balm a cushioned, creamy feel.
Found in: Everywhere Balm, Lip Balm and Paw Balm.
Mango butter
Smooth, substantial texture. Adds body and emollience, helping the balm spread with a smooth, substantial feel. Mango butter does not give the balm a mango flavour.

The structure behind the balm.
Jojoba esters
A refined skin feel. Emollient ingredients derived from jojoba that help shape the balm’s texture and leave skin feeling soft. They are listed separately from jojoba oil.

Candelilla wax
Firmness and hold. A plant wax that helps bind the oils and give the balm its solid structure, while contributing to its smooth application.
Found in: Everywhere Balm and Lip Balm.
Sunflower wax
Structure and consistency. A plant wax that helps structure the oils and build a consistent balm texture. It brings firmness rather than the fluid feel of sunflower oil.
Found in: Everywhere Balm and Lip Balm.
Beeswax
A flexible conditioning layer. Helps thicken and hold together the oils in Paw Balm and contributes a film on the surface of intact paw pads. Beeswax is bee-derived, so Paw Balm is not vegan.

Small ingredients with a clear role.
Vitamin E
Antioxidant support. Used in cosmetics for antioxidant and skin-conditioning roles. Antioxidant support is different from antimicrobial preservation; vitamin E does not make a balm a sunscreen or establish its shelf life.

Alpha-bisabolol
Skin conditioning. A skin-conditioning ingredient included in The Everywhere Balm to complement its emollient oils and butters. Its role here is everyday cosmetic care.

A little scent, a personal preference.
Vanilla fragrance
A warm sensory touch. Gives The Everywhere Balm — Vanilla its vanilla scent. Fragrance adds to the sensory experience; it is not a moisturising ingredient.

Vanilla lip balm flavour oil
A vanilla flavour profile. Creates the Vanilla Lip Balm’s flavour profile. It is added to the same conditioning base used in our Lip Balm collection.

Strawberry lip balm flavour oil
A strawberry flavour profile. Creates the Strawberry Lip Balm’s flavour profile for those who enjoy a fruity choice. It adds a sensory quality rather than an extra conditioning claim.

Coconut lip balm flavour oil
A coconut flavour profile. Creates the Coconut Lip Balm’s flavour profile. It is a flavour ingredient, separate from the coconut oil used in Paw Balm.

Plant-based ingredients
Our skin and lip formulas contain plant oils, butters and waxes. Paw Balm contains beeswax and is not vegan. We do not make a blanket vegan claim for the range.
